Writing specifications, teaching and designing a product that is in development by a international team (18 programmers in 4 branches) basing on several standards such as EJB, JAAS, ...
The product is very generic regarding GUI and access layer (new database tables at runtime), consists of 3 tiers, has a rich client as well as a thin (WEB) client, allows single sign on as well as authentification against LDAP, database or operating system. It incorporates interfaces to SAP, XML (data import and export). It has a COM-API for integration and other purposes. The product includes a workflow engine and a GUI for creating and editing workflows. This, the scripting engine and many customizers (with GUI) help the user to customize the product to a very high degree. Runtime multilanguage support is incorporated as well (allows to switch the language at runtime).
