The name Frind
The name Frind is quite seldom despite it means something quite usual: friend or relative. It is derived from the Middle High German "friunt".

The emblem
was designed by Erwin Frind (1884 - 1960). It shows the defence of the kingdom Bohemia in the area of the Elbsandsteingebirge.

Regional provenance of Frind
There is only a spoken hand down that a knight from Worms moved into the castle of Niederkreibitz in the 15th century. But Worms is quite far away therefor the spoken words do not count much.
The first documented sign of the name Frind in the area around Kreibitz was found in a church book of Kreibitz. The entry dates back to 1649.
